It typically takes 2-3 weeks of consistent tanning to build up a base tan. However, everyone’s skin is different, so this timeline may vary. If you already have quite dark skin, then it will be easier to build on that base with regular tanning, without peeling or burning. But when you start tanning with pale skin, you run the risk of burns if you tan for too long at a time.
