A tan on dark skin will last around the same amount of time as a tan on any other skin type – about two to three weeks. After that, the dead skin cells on the surface of your skin will start to flake off, taking the colour with them. To prolong your tan, use a moisturizer every day to keep your skin hydrated and help it retain its colour. Alternatively, use tanning lotion to give your skin a tanned tone even if you can’t spend time in the sun, or on a sunbed.
