You should only spend a maximum of 15 minutes in the sun or on a sunbed at a time. This is because overexposure to UV rays can cause skin damage, leading to problems like skin cancer. If you want to tan for longer periods of time, make sure to use sunscreen and take breaks so that your skin doesn’t get too much sun exposure.  We would recommend tanning in a controlled environment like a tanning salon rather than traditional sunbathing.
