There could be a few reasons why it’s hard for you to tan. It could be that you have a genetic predisposition, meaning that your skin doesn’t produce as much melanin. It could also be due to your age: as you get older, your skin becomes thinner and less able to produce melanin. Another possibility is that you’re not using the right products, for example if you’re using a sunscreen with a high SPF then this will block out most of the UV rays and prevent you from tanning.  If you’re tanning using sunbeds, you can use tanning creams to enhance your tan.
